Step 1

From inside the trunk remove this trim panel to expose the tail light assemblies.

Step 2

Once the trim panels are removed - locate this connector on each tail light assembly.

Step 3

Remove the electrical tape from the tail light side of this connector, cut out the factory crimp on the green/blue wire for the drivers side or the green/red for the passengers side and cut the wires right next to the crimp.

Step 4

Here's what it should like after you remove the factory crimp.
